Hi my name is Rachel i am James's daughter. My dad James Hannah, he had 4 children: Craig 26, Geoff 24, Rachel 20 and Jody 8. Our lifes were turned upside down on Sunday 28th January 2007 when our dad was killed in a road collison and bless him didnt stand a chance! Thats when all our hearts were shattered! Nothing can descibe that moment when we found out about our dad. Even now its still so hard 2 move on 2 know n accept that my dad isnt here nemore xxx we al miss u soooooo much n love u soooooo much 2 dad xxxx R.I.P, Sleep tight :)
My dad's favourite poem that was read out by his best mate Danny at his funeral :
FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND
One night i dreamed i was walking along the beach with the lord,
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky,
In each scene i noticed footprints in the sand,
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
Other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because i noticed that during the low periods of my life,
When i was suffering from anguish,
Sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
So i said to the Lord,
"You promised me Lord,
That if i followed you,
You would walk with me always.
But i have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life,
There have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when i needed u most,
You have not been there for me?"
The Lord replied,
"The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
Is when i carried you."
